Down to earth is a truly independent, organic vegetarian and vegan café, restaurant and shop. We offer our customers a delicious selection of nutritious food and drinks together with a range of sustainable and ethical organic lifestyle products from organic wine to face and beauty creams.

We are passionate about our organic, meat-free alternatives and use only the highest quality organic ingredients in our nutritious meals, juices, smoothies and sorbets.

We cater for all dietary requirements offering options for not only vegetarians and vegans,but wheat-free, sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free menus. As well as our raw food dishes, which are fast becoming the talk of the town.

All our packaged products use bio-degradable materials and we cut our own waste to a minimum by buying fresh produce daily and using it straight away. Any by-products from our kitchen go to feed the cows in our Harrow farm.

Why go raw?

We absorb more nutrients from raw food as they haven't been lost in the cooking process, and so it has many health benefits such as an increase in energy levels, improving your skin, eyesight and boosting concentration levels. By eating raw foods you become better aware of what kind of food your body needs.

We make our selection of raw food dishes using only the finest quality local organic vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds.

What's on offer?

Our pastas are totally wheat free: enjoy our mouth-watering raw courgette pasta and raw food lasagne of portobello mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and nuts.

Try dishes like beetroot ravioli; cauliflower couscous; tartar of courgette and avocado; raw pizza made with buckwheat; bruschetta and our delicious raw chocolate desserts free from dairy, gluten and sugar.

Healthy lifestyle

Our shop features a wide range of organic fresh produce, essential cooking ingredients and convenience foods, as well as health & beauty products. We only sell organic, fresh produce that's locally sourced from marketplaces as well our own suppliers and farmers to ensure the best experience for our customers.

We know that you don't just care about the quality of your food, you want the whole story from planting to plate! Everything we source has a story and we select our products and ingredients for their story.

Grisdyke Farm

The gently flowing fields of Grimsdyke estate located in Harrow Weald, in Northwest London are the home to our rare breed cattle.

The farmhouse is best known as the home of dramatist W.S. Gilbert, who lived there for the last two decades of his life before his tragic death.

It has since been converted into a hotel and the surrounding farmland is owned and managed by us.
